Why I Launched ‘Managing Menopause Naturally’ Course
A Personal Journey Toward Empowering Women Through Yoga, Awareness & Healing
In My Early 40s, Something Shifted
I began waking up at night, drenched in sweat. My periods, once like clockwork, became unpredictable. I found myself unusually irritable — snapping over the smallest things. Sleep, which had never been an issue, became a nightly struggle. And then something unexpected happened: my hair started thinning. That hit me harder than I expected.
I didn’t feel like myself anymore.
At the time, I had no clear understanding of what was going on. I was aware of menopause in theory — something that “happens later” — but I didn’t expect to experience these symptoms so early, or with such intensity.
Like many women, I didn’t connect the dots immediately.
And even when I did, I found very few meaningful conversations around it. No supportive resources. No holistic options. No space where women could openly ask, “Is this normal? What can I do?”
As a certified yoga therapist, my first instinct was to return to what I knew — the tools of breath, movement, stillness, and introspection. I began experimenting with different asanas, breathwork techniques, and guided meditations that could support the changes I was experiencing.
But I didn’t stop there.
I dove into scientific literature, traditional texts, and modern case studies. I wanted to understand what was happening — hormonally, emotionally, energetically — and how yoga could truly offer relief, not just surface-level comfort.
Slowly, I began to witness change. My symptoms eased. My emotional state stabilized. And more importantly — I began to feel like myself again.
The Unspoken Phase of a Woman’s Life
What struck me most during this time wasn’t just the symptoms — but the silence around them.
Menopause affects every woman, yet it remains one of the most misunderstood and under-discussed phases of life. There’s a heavy focus on puberty, pregnancy, fertility — but menopause? It’s often brushed under the carpet as a time of decline, invisibility, or embarrassment.
This needs to change !
We need to reframe menopause — not as an end — but as a powerful, transformative phase that deserves care, attention, and support. Because when women are informed and supported, menopause becomes less of a struggle and more of a transition into renewed wisdom and self-awareness.
Over the years, I began working closely with clients who were going through similar menopausal symptoms. Some came for sleep issues, others for anxiety, hot flashes, joint pain, or mood swings. Many had tried hormonal therapy or medication, but wanted a more sustainable, natural path.
Through personalized yoga therapy programs, I witnessed incredible transformations — not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually.
That’s when the seed was planted — to turn this work into something bigger. Something accessible. Something comprehensive.
And that’s how “Managing Menopause Naturally – A Holistic Yoga Journey for Hormonal Harmony” was born.
